Lunker A Branson Tale

I have woven this story with country music, fishing, and a humorous twist of tales that take place in laidback Ozark country.

Half the fun of writing this story of John "Lunker" Johnson, the pro bass fisherman, and his little friend Red was in my meeting and visiting with the country music show folks of Branson, Missouri. Invitations to sit in on the practice sessions and meet the singers and musicians provided the background and fine down-home feeling that I wanted this book to have.

I invite you to follow along as Lunker and his buddy Red do their best to keep the Chicago "hoods" from bringing gambling and other vices to the warm, homespun, Missouri town of Branson.

I hope you enjoy reading Lunker, A Branson Tale as much as I enjoyed writing it for you. This book is dedicated to all who have ever wet a line in anticipation of catching a "lunker bass." .

Who should read Lunker A Branson Tale

  • Every woman who has a guy that loves to fish a little too much.
  • Every man or woman that loves to fish.
  • All the rest of us that really do need a good laugh or two.

Planned Events/Book signings and "Send Lunker to our Troops event" for Lunker A Branson Tale .

  • Over 200 copies of Lunker and about 100 copies of books by other authors were passed on to Operation Home Front and Operation Enduring Support to send to our troops for Christmas. My thanks to folks from across the country that signed the books at the Books for Troops signings that I held. Also my thanks to the other authors that helped and contine to help for the Spring rounds of books that will be sent to our troops.
